Bringing relief to thousands of his fans all across the globe who had to endure 2 1/2 years of unbearable wait, Ahn Jae Wook finally breaks his silence. In what has become his signature style, Ahn, the originator of the Korean Wave, juggles multiple roles by releasing a new mini album entitled For Her and starring in SBS's romantic drama Saranghae ("I Love You"). Also gearing up to kick off his Japanese concert tour in March of 2008 in conjunction with the album's April release, Ahn is more than ready to get back in action once again.
Talented singer-songwriter Lim Hyun Jung takes on triple roles as the album's producer, composer, and lyricist. Featuring Ahn's captivating, heart-tugging vocals and a melange of delicate string instrumentals, acoustic piano, and electric sounds, For Her creates a breathtaking synergy between the songwriter and the singer. Mid-tempo ballad Ee byeol in gun ji (Track 1) is filled with classical strings that beautifully complement Ahn's understated vocals, producing a sweeping mesh of melancholic sentiments. An nyeong ("Goodbye" - Track 2), which opens up with the familiar tunes of the Far East, speaks of the heartaches and memories of a broken relationship. Switching to a more upbeat sound, Ahn throws in some powerful punches with Geu nyeo neun (Track 3), a heart-pounding rock number decked with dramatic string arrangement.
